Jesus speaks of the judgement and looks out at two groups of people, those who did the Father’s Will and those who did not. Those who did not will argue that they did good things for God. They prophesied. They cast out demons. They did great miracles. Yet, Jesus casts them away by saying “I never knew you.” What does this mean? Is it possible that there are people who think that they are being faithful and yet do not know God? Like any scripture, we need to interpret in context. This is a case of the nature of false prophets who try to use persuasion even when it comes to God to get their way.
