Religious freedom is something that has been taken for granted by many American’s over the course of the last millennia. When America was predominantly influenced by Christianity, there were few who had the voice to suggest that Christianity’s influence be kept to the margins. Now that the U.S. is quite religiously diverse, politically polarized and increasingly post-Christian and secular, there are many voices calling religious freedom into question. If there was ever a time to consider how to navigate the American political and cultural landscape, it’s now.
