In our day, it’s not uncommon for preachers to abandon the timeless truth of Scripture to preach false doctrines for the sake of financial gain, church growth or personal insecurity. It’s critical, however, that the man of God preaches the truth about Jesus Christ as it is, not as his hearers would like for it to be. Furthermore, all Christians are to preach the word from their position, while only some will preach from the pulpit.
