James – Faith Without Works is Dead

August 5, 2018

In what is one of the more controversial texts in the Bible we have James making a case for the necessity of works as an evidence of faith. Many who are familiar with evangelical theology will wonder if this comes in conflict with Paul’s clear teaching that it is faith, not works that saves. Is there contradiction in the Bible or is this a misunderstanding of the meaning of the two authors. This message intends to look at this conflict logically and sincerely. After this issue is addressed we will look at the importance of living a Christian life that is evidenced by an active expression of one’s faith.
